Montgomery Preservation Leadership Seminar 2023

This year's Preservation Leadership Seminar takes the opportunity to break ground on a new topic in the discussion of Montgomery's Architectural History.

Join us while we dig into the story of Montgomery's architecture boom in the Post World War II period. We'll discuss major trends in architectural design, commercial construction, wide scale neighborhood development, and the outsized influence of Montgomery's architects across the South. We will also dive into issues of segregation and how the rapidly changing landscape of Post War Montgomery reflects key issues and events of the Civil Rights movement.

Finally, be a part of the early effort to document key historic houses around town, some of which, have been right in front of you this whole time!
